What we receive
We receive the WhatsApp messages your team sends to our business number, and the phone number the message was sent from. We also receive the details you give us during setup: your name, your business name, your email address, and the Google Sheet you choose to connect.
What we store
We store the message text, the record we extract from it, and an audit log of every change we make to your sheet, including who sent the message and when. This data is stored on servers located in India. We keep it for as long as your account is active, and for 30 days after your account is closed, after which it is deleted.
What we write to
We write only to your own Google Sheet, and only to the tabs and columns you have authorised during setup. Calculated columns, summary tabs, and reports are never written to. We do not copy your spreadsheet into another system to run the service.
Who else sees it
Three processors are involved. WhatsApp, operated by Meta Platforms, carries the messages between your team and our number and therefore sees the message content and phone numbers. Our cloud hosting provider stores the data described above on servers in India. For messages we cannot interpret with our own rules, a language model provider receives the text of that single message in order to read it; the provider is not permitted to retain it or train on it. The majority of messages are handled by deterministic rules inside our own infrastructure and are never sent to a model provider. We also use Google's Sheets API to write to the sheet you connected.
What we never do
We do not sell your data. We do not use one customer's business data for another customer's benefit. We do not use your business data to train models. We do not use your data for advertising.
Deleting your data
Write to privacy@msme-connect.com from the email address on your account and ask us to delete your data. We remove the messages, extracted records and audit logs we hold within 7 days and confirm in writing. Rows already written into your own Google Sheet stay in your sheet, because it belongs to you.
